Currently, all our sessions are hosted in private study rooms at the Eagle River Library.
In order for each student to get adequate attention from their tutor, we limit sessions to three students.
The tutor does not prepare anything for the students, so it is up to the students to bring their homework and any questions they have. Throughout the session, the tutor will cycle between students, helping out with any tricky concepts or questions.
Session time can vary based on the tutor's schedule, but it usually ranges from 1-2 hours. If a student is unable to stay for the entire session, it is completely fine to come and go as their schedule requires.
To tutor for Alaska Peer to Peer Homework Help, you must be currently enrolled in high school. In addition, you must take a Course Challenge (on Khan Academy) for the highest math level you are willing to tutor. If your score on this test reflects that you know the material well enough, you can become a tutor for that math level and below.
